Skadan ser ut som en mer eller mindre djup, V-formad ränna i knölen. Sidorna är täckta av ett korkskikt. Vanligen uppstår sprickan eller sprickorna i knölens längdriktning. Orsaken är onormala växlingar mellan torka och nederbörd.

Growth cracks

This condition has the appearance of a fairly deep, V-shaped groove in the tuber. The insides of the groove are covered in cork. The groove or grooves usually run along the length of the tuber. The condition is caused by abnormal fluctuations between drought and rain.
